Corporate Tax Manager Transaction Taxes Meraki Talent is supporting one of their clients with the appointment of a new Corporate Tax Manager working within Transaction Taxes. The role is based in Edinburgh but there is room for flexible working. The Role: As a Corporate Tax Manager within the Transaction Taxes team, you'll play a key role in supporting their clients' business and strategic goals. You will offer comprehensive advice on the tax considerations involved in various transactions, such as acquisitions, disposals, management buyouts (MBOs), and internal restructurings. Known for their deep industry knowledge, the firm collaborates closely with clients to address complex financial issues and seize emerging opportunities. Key Responsibilities: Provide expert technical tax advice on a wide range of matters, such as mergers and acquisitions, exits, refinancing, equity and debt raising, and business reorganisations. Keep clients and colleagues informed of tax legislation changes, clearly explaining their implications and advising on necessary actions. Collaborate with colleagues across the firm, including Corporate Finance, VAT/indirect taxes, Innovation Taxes, Entrepreneurial Taxes, and Wealth, to deliver a smooth, integrated client experience. Foster strong client and intermediary relationships by offering exceptional service and identifying opportunities to deliver additional value through tailored solutions. Support tax due diligence processes, ensuring thorough analysis and smooth execution of assignments. Mentor and guide junior colleagues, promoting their ongoing development through training, constructive coaching, and timely feedback. Ideal Candidate Profile: CA and/or CTA qualification (or equivalent) required. Experienced tax professional, operating at the Assistant Manager grade or above. Relevant experience in corporate tax or private client tax advisory roles preferred. Strong leadership in managing both work and professional development. Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and engage others. Experience in line management or coaching in an advisory setting is desirable.
