ROLE – Product Manager
SALARY - £40,000- £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
TYPE – Permanent
Location- Bristol
My client is a specialist manufacturer. They are looking for a Product Manager with a background in Mechanical Product Design to join their team in Bristol on a permanent basis.
The Product Manager will ideally have the following attributes:
* Experience working in a similar role within market analysis
* Background in product development and lifecycle management within a manufacturing environment
* Proven experience in marketing strategy development and execution
* Experience in B2B or technical/engineering marketing
* Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design or similar
* Be proficient using 3D CAD software such as Inventor, SolidWorks, Creo etc.
* Knowledge of a variety of materials – sheet metal, injection moulded plastics etc.
* Be able to read engineering drawings
* Ability to liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
* Strong leadership skills
* Proven ability to manage multiple projects at once and deliver results on time and budget
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
* Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
Responsibilities include:
* Leading product development projects from concept to production
* Exploring the market and investigating new trends to identify new opportunities and target audiences
* Analysing customer reaction and discussing their needs
* Being involved in the design, prototyping, and testing of new products
* Developing and implementing strategic marketing plans to drive business growth
* Collaborating with sales and marketing teams to support product launches
* Working with sales and engineering teams to create engaging, CAD-driven content
* Tracking and analysing marketing performance metrics to optimise strategies
* Attending events, trade shows, and product launches
