Change Recruitment are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager looking to join a fast-growing business in St.Helens, Merseyside.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, as one of two Warehouse Managers on site you will be responsible for managing the day to day running of the warehouse.
Days based role, 42.5 hour per weeks, 08:00 to 17:30 (flexibility required)
Salary £36000 + Holidays +Bank Holidays
The successful Warehouse Manager will come from a /warehousing/distribution background with experience managing small teams (10-15, dependent on the season). The company have an open and friendly approach, they are looking for someone to champion the culture and carry out improvement projects and add value to the operation.
Any H & S qualifications and experience will be highly advantageous.
Responsibilities.
As a warehouse manager, you'll need to:
liaise with customers, suppliers, and transport companies.
Coordinate and monitor the receipt, order, assembly, and dispatch of goods.
Use space and mechanical handling equipment efficiently, making sure quality, budgetary targets and environmental objectives are met
Have a clear understanding of the company's policies and vision and how the warehouse contributes to these
Keep stock control systems up to date and make sure inventories are accurate
Plan future capacity requirements
Organise the recruitment and training of staff, as well as monitoring staff performance and progress ensuring daily targets are achieved.
Motivate, organise, and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded
Produce regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
Brief managers/supervisors daily to ensure targets are agreed and understood
Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security in the work environment.
Oversee the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery, and equipment
Where appropriate, oversee the maintenance and operation of warehouse management systems.
Responsible for all health and safety aspects within the warehouse operation ensuring daily/weekly/Monthly inspections are carried out and remedial action taken immediately, liaise with the company Health and safety manager to continually improve health and safety.
Carry out incident accident investigations in line with company policy.
Carry out disciplinary investigations/meetings in line with company policy
The role will involve building and maintaining relationships with staff in the warehouse, offices, and other sites. Overseeing a small team rising to around 15 within the warehouse during peak seasons, managing performance, recruitment, and training. You will also be required to undergo stock take when required.
Skills.
You'll need to have:
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Numeracy and an understanding of finance for stock management
