Our diverse group of professionals collaborates with clients to anticipate, identify, assess, and minimize exposure to acute and long-term occupational health hazards. Our work involves conducting health risk assessments and evaluations of controls in the monitoring of exposure to chemical, physical, biological, ergonomic, and psychosocial agents.
Key Responsibilities
Commencing on larger road, rail, redevelopment projects which require management of hygienist concerns, the role includes the maintenance of quantities and technical records for project progress reporting, such as:
* Daily activities record (e.g., HAZMATs, topsoil stripping, hazards removal, make safe, sampling)
* Daily personnel hours record (consultant, subconsultant by site / chainages)
* Keep record and reconcile areas inspected - cleared areas as work progresses
* Review, escalate issues, inconsistencies or non-conformances to the PM, and maintain project files impeccably:
* Daily fieldnotes record
* Daily onsite clearances record
* Daily timesheets record
* Daily AAM monitoring review
* Assist gathering and recording subcontractor records and documentation
* Assist with vehicle inductions and coordination of equipment requirements
* Check reports to be drafted (inspection, clearance, and make safe)
* Draft Sustainability, People & Culture statistical project report
* Draft reports and forward to internal Projects Manager for review
About You
* Technical qualification or bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, science, or WHS related discipline).
* Organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
* Developing-level proficiency in the technical field, with a willingness to flexibly develop skills.
* Developing or working knowledge in Asbestos identification / monitoring / clearance, Pb, Silica, dosimetry, dust depositional gauges, real-time instruments, and Mask Fit testing (CNC) to understand the starting project’s core activity in a consulting and monitoring environment.
* Ability to prepare SHEWMS, and basic Health Risk Assessments prior to undertaking field works.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
* Minimum 1 year of experience in relevant field or industry, with a focus on managing moderately complex projects, developing leadership, client-care, and own technical skills.
