The OD Facilitator role supports the provision of specialist OD advice and guidance to leaders and managers across the Trust to embed OD approaches and support improvements to staff experience, retention and culture.
The role will support Trust staff to develop the skills they require to be effective and compassionate leaders through the design, delivery and evaluation of Organisational Development interventions, including the delivery and facilitation of coaching and training sessions. Working closely with our HR Business Partner team, the role will provide service improvement and change management support to specific projects where specialist knowledge is required, mentoring staff to grow their skills and capability to lead interventions in the future.
The post holder will be an exceptional role model of our Trust values - Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, Empowerment and Support and behaviours, acting as a champion and ambassador for the Trust.
Main duties of the job
1. Design and deliver general and tailored OD interventions to teams that result in behaviour change and performance and process improvement.
2. Promote employee engagement and a compassionate, inclusive culture across the Trust by creating effective relationships, partnership working and supporting line managers to become competent leaders, through providing advice, guidance, support, coaching and experiential learning.
3. Work collaboratively with HR colleagues to develop HR/OD approaches that influence business thinking and support operational objectives, organisation design and resource plans.
4. Provide support for individual, team effectiveness, problem solving and improvement methodologies through one to one/team coaching or action learning.
5. Effectively use interpersonal skills and influence to effect change and bring about a shift in mind sets and behaviours.
6. Evaluate learning and organisational development activities and measure the impact of these on individual/team/organisational aims.
7. Analyse information and data including evaluation outcomes to inform future practice, reporting both in a verbal and written manner to present outcomes to a range of internal and external stakeholders.
8. Support the development of leadership capability framework, and refresh of our values and behaviours.
9. Utilise psychometric tools, organisational development approaches and activities for team interventions, team building, and resolution sessions.
10. Ensure that all interventions are quality assured, accessible and meet the requirements of all internal and external standards and practices.
11. Design and facilitate leadership and management sessions, mini management modules and 360 feedback sessions.
12. Take responsibility for prioritising own workload and ensuring that work objectives are delivered to agreed timescales and standards, giving and receiving advice and support when needed, providing input at meetings appropriately and contributing positively to team motivation and morale.
13. Participate and contribute to Trust and Norfolk & Waveney Integrated Care System committees, forums and working groups, providing data and written reports as required.
14. Ensure continued development of personal knowledge and skills and undertake education consistent with the needs of the post.
15. Role model the trust values and behaviours to ensure our values are supported and embedded in all elements across the organisation.
Person Specification
* Relevant degree level qualification or equivalent work experience within Organisational development or Learning & Development.
* Highly skilled OD Practitioner and facilitator with extensive knowledge of leadership and management theories, tools and practices.
* Significant experience in the design, delivery and evaluation of organisational development, and/or leadership & management initiatives and interventions.
* Psychometric tools accreditation eg. Belbin, MBTI or similar.
* Project management qualification or equivalent work experience.
* Able to support the implementation of compassionate, Just & Learning culture with a strong focus on coaching in partnership with HR and OD colleagues.
* A proven track record of delivering successful projects and programmes within OD arena achieving key targets, demonstrating continuous and quality improvements.
