What you'll be doing:
You'll be working within a fast-paced and diverse environment. You'll provide effective procurement solutions across both direct and indirect supplier categories, balancing total cost, quality, and service. You'll present Knauf as a customer of choice, improve supplier performance by reducing costs and business risk, embedding supplier relationship management into core categories while focusing on the needs of the internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities will include:
* Maintain a high level of compliance to the Knauf Procurement Policy to achieve global key performance indicator targets.
* Understand local and national legislation as well as understanding the market factors that may impact pricing or supply.
* Support and understand the roadmap to reporting Scope 3 Carbon Emissions within Procurement and supplier management.
* Deliver, record, and report financial savings through procurement led activity.
* Lead, support and guide colleagues and stakeholders through procurement processes with varying degrees of complexity.
* Analyse and interpret various sources of data, turning data into meaningful, insightful, and easily understandable information.
* Comfortable presenting information to stakeholder groups at all levels.
* Lead, support and guide cross-functional projects to achieve the best outcome for the business, clearly defining goals, roles, and outcomes.
* Obtain alignment with internal stakeholders, both locally and globally within Knauf.
* Act as a point of escalation to the wider business for supplier or contract issues.
* Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure good working relationships, leading to cost savings, greater efficiency, and continuous improvements.
* Negotiate to achieve the overall most cost-effective outcome whilst maintaining quality and meeting recurring cost savings targets.
* Contract management from initial discussions through to termination, monitoring Suppliers performance in line with the commitments of the contract.
* Have an active role within the Regional Procurement Team including best practice sharing and collaboration.
* Promote good inter-departmental relationships and contribute to establishing and maintaining a professional and efficient departmental reputation.
Requirements:
* Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
* SAP or ERP System experience.
* Understanding of the wider business processes and financial tools.
