Supervising Social Worker - Fostering Team
Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency, has a new permanent position available for a Supervising Social Worker within the Fostering Team to work full-time based in Slough.
The salary for this permanent Supervising Social Worker job is up to £45,460 per annum.
Responsibilities:
1. Ensure the children placed with foster carers are safeguarded and foster carers are fully aware of their duties and responsibilities in line with all regulations and standards.
2. Build positive relationships with foster carers and the children placed with them.
3. Provide supervision to a caseload of foster carers.
4. Provide assessment, case planning and review of the foster carers ensuring timelines are met.
5. Complete references and checks for potential and approved foster carers.
6. Undertake direct work with children to understand their lived experience within the foster placement.
7. Give support and guidance to foster carers to help them manage their responses and feelings, particularly when challenging behaviour is presented.
8. Work with other partners and stakeholders to ensure the voice of the child and their wishes and feelings are taken into account in aspects of their care.
9. Ensure foster carers receive appropriate training in order to provide care and support.
10. Provide support and guidance to ensure foster carers access the correct stakeholders for children's educational attainment.
11. Ensure the safeguarding of children/young people in line with the role and responsibilities.
12. Undertake any other duties as commensurate with the level of responsibility of the role.
Requirements of this role:
1. A Social Work Qualification or equivalent.
2. Understanding of relevant legislation.
3. Registered or eligible for registration.
