Joiner / Fire Door Installation
Location: (Regional coverage)
Salary: up to £19 p/hr + paid travel time + benefits
Are you an experienced and qualified Joiner / Carpenter looking for secure employment within a growing business? Do you want a role that truly makes a difference and saves lives? If so, look no further!
At NEO Property Solutions, we don’t just fix doors—we save lives (and we’re pretty proud of it). We’re specialists in Passive Fire Protection (PFP), dedicated to making existing properties safer, one door at a time. With big plans for 2025, we’re on the hunt for talented Joiners to help us in our mission. Think of yourself as a fire safety superhero—cape optional!
You will ideally have some previous Fire Door (FD30 / FD60) installation experience and have done some general remedial work knowing how to bring doors back into Fire Regulations, have a full driving licence, can-do attitude and be willing to travel up to 1.5 hours to site.
If you’re a recently qualified joiner with 18 months to 2+ years of site-based experience and looking for a change, we’d still love to hear from you. Fresh perspectives and enthusiasm are always welcome here.
The role:
You’ll be working in some pretty varied locations—hospitals, schools, colleges, universities, supermarkets, care homes, apartment blocks, and housing association properties. (Let’s just say no two days will be the same!)
From day one you will be supported by your supervisor and colleagues as you learn the NEO way and start to find your feet. You will be buddied up with an experienced joiner for your first week before beginning to start and undertake tasks independently. Some days you might be on location with a team of other joiners where you will find a great environment and feeling of being part of a team, other days you may be required to work on location independently which is when you will need to be disciplined and self-motivated. Each week is a little different.
You will need to be able to adapt your communication depending on the customer, remain calm in challenging situations and keep a positive attitude if things don’t go to plan.
What you get:
* Monday to Thursday 08:00 – 16:30 and an early finish (15:30) on Fridays
* Paid travel time after 45 mins (earn an average of 15/20% extra annually)
* Additional industry training (NVQ Fire Doors)
* Medicash Healthcare
* Vivup discounts (Gym membership / holidays / retail outlets / shopping / insurance + more)
* Salary up to £19 p/hr depending on previous experience
What you need:
* Min NVQ 2 Site Carpentry or equivalent
* Full UK driving licence (Manual)
* Own tools
* DBS Check (done at offer stage)
* Good communication
* Positive attitude (essential) - A smile and a sense of humour can go a long way when facing unexpected challenges.
Prior to any offer of employment being issued, pre-employment checks will be performed including the taking up of references and driving licence checks. In addition, candidates will need to satisfy requirements of an enhanced disclosure through the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS Check).
Equal Opportunities in Practice:
We are committed to equality of opportunity for all staff and applications from individuals are encouraged regardless of age, disability, sex, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, and marriage and civil partnerships.
