The Job
Working closely with our Pharmacy Manager, as a Pharmacy Technician at The Manor Hospital, you will have defined responsibilities including but not limited to:
1. Providing in-house pharmacy services, both for Inpatients and Outpatients.
2. Assisting with dispensing.
3. Carrying out procurement, distribution, stock taking and the replenishment of pharmacy items to the ward and departments.
4. If ACT and MM trained – assisting with clinical ward work and checking.
To succeed as a Pharmacy Technician, you will:
1. Have NVQ Level 3 Pharmacy service or equivalent.
2. Be registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Society.
3. Work as part of our team to deliver a high quality pharmacy service to wards and departments where patient experience and safety is at the heart of everything we do.
4. Have experience within a hospital pharmacy.
5. Possess good IT skills, literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
6. Hold a Medicines Management/Reconciliation accreditation.
