AHP Clinical Educator (Diagnostic Radiography)
Are you a diagnostic radiographer that is passionate about education and training? Do you want to develop the future workforce? This post would allow you to develop education and support learners in the Radiography department.
There are 75 hours available for this post, based across both the Cumberland Infirmary and West Cumberland Hospital.
You will have the opportunity to work together with other clinical educators at the trust and within the wider ICS to develop radiography education.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work as part of the Radiology Team and lead on guidance and support for AHP learners including pre-registration, postgraduate, apprentices, preceptees, international recruits and return to practice radiographers.
The post holder will be expected to be clinically competent to work alongside learners in practice to support their development.
They will work alongside the Modality Leads to ensure newly appointed or promoted staff are integrated smoothly into the workforce and new roles.
The post holder will support the development and postgraduate study towards extended scope and Advanced Practice.
The post holder will lead on the development of learning environments, training and internal progression periods, to drive the integration of theory and continued competency with practice.
They will work to ensure appropriate undergraduate student placement capacity is maintained and developed further in cooperation with the Practice Educator Facilitators in the Trust (PEF).
They will maintain links with AHP Practice Educators, the Associate Director of AHP's, the AHP Faculty and council, maximising any funding opportunities relevant to the department or role. They will attend Clinical Educator Forums, working in partnership with stakeholders to ensure the development of interprofessional learning opportunities in practice.

Standard Check: £18 + Administration cost of £3.85 = £21.85. Deducted at £6.85 from 1st month salary and £5 deducted from salary over following 3 months.
Enhanced Check: £38 + administration cost of £3.90 = £41.90. Deducted at £11.90 from 1st month salary and £10 deducted from salary over following 3 months.
