A Forest Craftsperson mainly works outdoors, helping with forest management tasks across various beats like cutting trees, putting up fences, and planting. A key part of the role is working with the Visitor Services team, maintaining walking paths, signs, and parking areas.
Forest Craftspersons also assist other teams when needed, helping with timber harvesting, wildlife management, and environmental work. This might include delivering materials, fixing fences, setting up equipment, and handling tasks like controlling weeds or maintaining ancient monuments.
To ensure success in this role, we offer a comprehensive induction programme and new starts have the option to work with a Buddy for the first six months in post.
