We have over 280 wonderful children and young adults enrolled who are 4 to 19 years old. This role will primarily be based at our Deansway campus, on the Woodloes in Warwick. As a learning mentor, some of your responsibilities will be to: Supervise safe arrival and departure of all pupils at allocated school site Meet and greet children, young people and families being a point of contact for families Plan and resource shared areas such as Sensory Rooms Work with Children’s Therapy Solutions to set up and lead daily sensory circuits in the hall Deliver small group or 1-1 therapeutic provision e.g. Lego therapy, girls/boys group (RSHE), story massage etc Create social scripts and visual supports such as Communicate In Print (CIP) timetables Support pupils with defensive or risk behaviours both at home and school Support pupils and families to achieve high attendance Run daily lunchtime clubs according to the pupil’s interests Support Pastoral Manager to deliver identified early help Willingness to train as a TEAM TEACH trainer Support pupils with developing progress with personal care both at school and home Support Pastoral Manager in delivering/facilitating parent workshops Support with transitional needs You will be required to produce relevant certificates, demonstrating your qualifications, on the day of interview if you are shortlisted.
