Information: Position: Corporate Security Officer Location: London (WC1X) Pay Rate: £13.81 per hour Hours: Average 42 hours per week Shifts: 4 On 4 Off - Days Job Requirements: SIA Licence required. 5 Corporate Security, Concierge or Front of House experience for at least 1 year an advantage. Ex forces would be an advantage. First Aid qualification & a CCTV SIA Licence are desirable. Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as customer service skills. Must have an excellent command of English Language & Good IT Skills. Reliable, responsible, trustworthy and punctual. A friendly, professional, courteous and outgoing character. To take pride in your appearance at all times, ensuring immaculate presentation. Flexible in the approach to daily duties and additional events when held on customer premises. Excellent knowledge of operational security software applications or the ability to acquire such knowledge. Demonstrate an awareness of security threats which remain relevant and up to date in the context of the current environment. Resilient and calm under pressure with the ability to multi-task and prioritise to help solve problems and overcome challenges. Computer literate and confident with the use of Microsoft Office programmes. Flexibility to working practices, hours, and responsibilities and have the flexibility to change due to operational needs. Operation of CCTV/access control communications in an appropriate manner. Job Responsibilities: Able to demonstrate and deliver high quality guarding and customer service to both our customers and service users. Able to work in a team as well as on your own and have the ability to be pro-active and think on your feet use initiative. Be calm under pressure and confident in dealing with confrontational situations in a calm and professional manner. Physically fit to complete patrols internally and externally and able to stand/walk during shift. Able to conduct all responsibilities associated with the roles documented. Confident in writing incident and shift reports. To always portray a friendly, professional and courteous demeanour, using open and appropriate body language. To ensure that all visitors and staff are dealt with efficiently, providing an exceptional customer service at all times ensuring that their expectations are met, if not exceeded. Have the IT skills and the ability to understand and use varied Access Control and CCTV systems and platforms / integrated systems (Lots of sites use different Systems) and be able to use the Visitor Management and Check In systems at the main reception desk as part of FOH duties. Have the ability to write emails and reply to emails in the correct manner and speak. Have the ability to exercise command and control and be an effective communicator to all peer groups and management levels. Able to understand Corporate Escalation Process, - Escalate and Disseminate information in a timely manner to the correct personnel in the event or during an emergency or Incident on customer premises. The role includes you to conduct opening & closing procedures of a building, patrolling, reception duties, access control, answering incoming telephone calls, conducting emergency procedures. Dealing with Site Service Providers and Contractors. Key Management and distribution. Managing the Loading Bay, deliveries and the Post Room. Be confident you are able to undertake 100% of all specific duties. Be able to provide all the documentation and vetting information requested. Ensure complete Customer/tenant/other service provider confidentiality; protecting people and information is paramount.
