The role
As an Aircraft Handler, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. The Visiting Aircraft Support Section (VASS) supports our commitment to carrying out the ground handling and providing services to visiting aircraft as required. Enabling small/medium business aircraft to meet their allotted tasks, in accordance with RAF and Company safety standards, practices, and procedures.
Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:
* Handling and providing services to visiting aircraft as required, including marshalling of aircraft and understanding health and safety with moving aircraft.
* Arranging any services required within the role remit, including aircraft services.
* Working with civilian and military Airforce stakeholders.
* Moving equipment and generators, which can be physically demanding at times.
This role is full-time and based onsite at RAF Northolt.
Essential experience of the Aircraft Handler:
* Evidence of performance-driven activity through previous roles.
Qualifications for the Aircraft Handler:
* Full Clean UK driving licence.
* Normal colour perception graded as CP2.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain BPSS security clearance for this role.
