Cheval Collection are currently recruiting a Finance Assistant to join their team of our luxury serviced apartments at Cheval Knightsbridge and Cheval Phoenix House.
As a Finance Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the finance operations across our residences, working closely under the direction of the Finance Manager with a reporting line to the General Manager. Your responsibilities will include maintaining the Sales Ledger functions within the property management system, ensuring all payments and charges are accurately recorded and supporting the General Manager and team with finance related requests. You'll handle all aspects of banking including the reconciliation of credit card payments and oversight for cash floats / petty cash expenditure. Additionally, you'll work to minimize aged debtors and ensure commission payments are processed promptly.
In this role, you'll also support the Front Office Team by addressing guest queries and liaising directly with guests and clients regarding their bills and payments. Your previous experience in a finance role, ideally within a hospitality background, will be invaluable. Confidence with numbers, strong organisational skills, and a diligent approach is essential. You'll take pride in contributing to the success of the business, bringing your enthusiasm and dedication to the team.
As Finance Assistant, some of your duties will include:
* Overall ownership for guest invoicing, ensuring that invoices are issued within agreed timelines, and payments are received / allocated appropriately.
* Responsible for preparation / reconciliation of commission invoices / accruals.
* Ensuring that month end procedures are completed accurately and on time, which includes preparation / posting of accruals and preparation / submission of supporting documentation related to balance sheet reconciliations.
* Preparation of monthly Board Report.
* Support General Manager and Heads of Department with preparation of annual budget and forecast.
* Assisting guests / agents etc. with account queries and following up with other departments where necessary in order to resolve.
* Working with the Cheval Collection Finance team, contributing and supporting new ideas and initiatives for the business.

* OPERA PMS experience is desirable.
* Are analytically minded with a good level of numeracy skills.
* Have intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
