Recruitment Consultant
Candidate Generation & Management
* Ability to fully qualify candidates, ask challenging, probing questions and consult them on relevant opportunities within their market.
* Utilising LinkedIn to build a network of passive candidates.
* Competent in managing each stage of the candidate journey.
* Constructing professional, engaging emails to engage passive candidates.
* Thoroughly qualify candidates in line with the Phillimore standard and challenge on areas of placement risk. Identify placement risk areas and take suitable steps to mitigate the risk and reduce dropouts.
* Build good working relationships with candidates.
* Maintain good levels of candidate control.
* Selling and differentiating your service to candidates.
* Closing candidates for periods of exclusivity.
* Able to use industry/market knowledge to consult candidates of a technical nature. Confident in using a range of interview techniques to identify needs.
* Conducting effective candidate meetings.
* Creating high-quality, detailed CV profiles for candidates.
Business Development & Account Management
* Building meaningful, influential client relationships. Develop and maintain a portfolio of client relationships.
* Maintain client control throughout the process.
* Advising clients on the benefits of exclusivity.
* Ability to build value and differentiate your service to justify fees.
* Competent in asking good open and probing questions to qualify client’s requirements. Confidence in having face-to-face meetings with clients to win business.
* Developing client accounts to generate multiple placements with existing accounts. Competent in negotiating rates with clients in line with the Phillimore standard.
* Able to use industry insights and Phillimore’s extensive network to advise clients on tailored recruitment solutions.
Vacancy & Placement Management
* Competent in managing and the 360-recruitment process.
* Conduct a comprehensive job qualification and use to build value in the Phillimore service.
* Challenge/consult the client on basic issues surrounding the role.
* Confident in preparing candidates and clients for interviews.
* Able to use industry/market knowledge to influence and consult clients.
* Managing expectations of clients. Negotiating and managing the offer process.
* Maintain good control of the post-offer process including managing counteroffer scenarios. Identify and react to areas of placement risk.
* Presenting clients with relevant candidates, and justify any ‘grey area’ submissions.
Soft Skills
* A good understanding of your industry specialism and able to identify good candidates.
* Ability to build rapport and initiate relationships with both candidates and clients with varying degrees of seniority. Demonstrate good active listening skills.
* Comfortable managing objections.
* Organised and able to manage time effectively to handle multiple recruitment projects and maintain activity levels.
* Demonstrate assertiveness where required. Good understanding of negotiation principles.
* Ability to analyse personal performance and make necessary amendments.
* Solution-focused and maintain a positive outlook – Resilience and adaptability are essential in this fast-paced role.
* Remain focused and on task, work with pace, and have a sense of urgency.
* Setting and working towards goals. Able to create a daily plan (to-do list) each day to achieve set goals and productivity levels.
* Questioning techniques.
* Ability to solve general recruitment-based problems.
