Finance Controller – UK CCL Global are currently recruiting for a Financial Controller to be based in London. As the Finance Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing all financial activities within the UK operations. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with financial regulations, maintaining accurate financial records, and providing strategic financial guidance to the leadership team. Type of Contract: Permanent Key responsibilities: Financial Management and Control Financial Closure: Manage month-end and year-end financial closure processes. Managing relationships and interfacing with accounting firms on accounting, tax and social topics, contact with banks, in coordination with the French Head Office Finance department. Financial Statements: Prepare and control accurate financial statements in compliance with UK regulations and company policies. Audits: Coordinate and manage financial audits, ensuring full compliance with statutory requirements. Revenue & Expense Forecasts: Develop and maintain revenue and expense forecasts to support business planning. Cost Pricing: Establish and review the cost price of consultancy staff, ensuring competitive and accurate pricing structures. Payment Validation: Oversee and control payments to be made to suppliers, contractors, and staff. Foreign Currency Exchange: A good understanding of these topics could be a plus Payroll: Supervise payroll activities, working with external payroll providers where applicable. Profit Distribution: Monitor and execute profit-sharing mechanisms in line with company policy. Taxation & Compliance: Ensure compliance with UK tax laws and regulations, optimising tax strategies IT Tools : Supervise the implementation of new IT tools, in particular financial ones Project Controls Support financial tracking and reporting for ongoing contracts, ensuring budgets, timelines, and deliverables are met. Develop and maintain project cost control systems, including cash flow management and risk assessments. Financial Planning for Projects: Prepare detailed financial plans for projects, including budgeting and resource allocation, to ensure alignment with strategic objectives. Profitability Forecasting: Analyze project performance data to forecast profitability, identify risks, and propose corrective measures. Liaise with project managers to provide financial insights and ensure alignment with overall business objectives. Assist in preparing client invoices and tracking payments to maintain cash flow. Strategic Contributions Provide financial analysis and recommendations to the management team for decision-making. Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial operations and project controls. Collaborate with other group companies to align financial practices and leverage synergies. Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification preferred). Experience: At least 5 years of experience in financial management and project controls, preferably within an engineering or consultancy environment. A solid background in accounting is required to facilitate the future internalization of accounting processes Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills. Knowledge: Strong understanding of UK taxation, payroll regulations, and financial reporting standards. Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with technical and non-technical teams. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach. Adaptability: Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
