Salary: [£27500 - £31000) – Depending on Experience. Working Pattern: 5 days out of 7 (including alternating weekends – one weekend on, one weekend off)

Are you an experienced Café or Restaurant Manager with a passion for great food, excellent coffee, and outstanding service? Rejects is an independent department store with a bustling café-restaurant, and we’re looking for a hands-on leader to take charge, elevate our offering, and drive this side of our business forward.

About the Role:
As our Café-Restaurant Manager, you will oversee all aspects of our in-store dining operation, from breakfast and lunch service to coffee and homemade hot food. You’ll lead a small team, manage daily operations, and have the creative freedom to refine our menu, improve efficiency, and attract more customers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage all aspects of the café-restaurant, including staffing, stock control, and budgeting
2. Lead and motivate a team, ensuring high standards of food quality, service, and hygiene
3. Maintain strict compliance with food safety and health & safety regulations
4. Work closely with the wider store team to promote the café and increase footfall
5. Build relationships with suppliers and manage stock efficiently
6. Create a warm, inviting atmosphere that keeps customers coming back
7. Implement strategies to boost sales, improve profitability, and enhance the customer experience
What We’re Looking For:
1. At least 2 years of café or restaurant management experience (essential)
2. Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and inspire a team
3. Experience in hot food service, menu planning, and kitchen coordination
4. Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
5. A proactive, creative mindset with ideas for growing the business
