Coachbuilder Kilmarnock
We are looking for a flexible and reliable skilled coachbuilder for our depot in Kilmarnock, who is able to work on their own initiative and will enjoy being part of a friendly and dedicated team. As a skilled coachbuilder your role will include maintaining the Company’s vehicles to the strictest standards set by both Stagecoach and the DVSA.

Duties & Responsibilities:
9. Preparing vehicles for repaint.
10. Adhering to Company Health & Safety policies.
11. Observe, recognise and report on body or structured defects or symptoms of impending failure.
12. Carry out vehicle manufacturers or company modifications as required.
13. Marking out, cutting and forming sheet metal, pillar section, plywood, hardboard, glass fibre panels, preparatory to fitting on a vehicle.
14. Fitting panels to vehicle body frames, using anti-fretting and corrosion materials, adhesives on lap and toggle joints, screws, nails, rivets and other fixing devices including moulding strips.
15. Cutting out apertures and fitting windows.
16. Hanging doors, both horizontally and vertically, of wood or metal.
17. Repairing damaged vehicles by removing damaged panels and body members, straightening panels and members (where possible) and replacing any removed parts
18. Carry out repair to body structure using welding equipment.
19. Making good damaged paintwork on a vehicle body, with a complete re-paint to include matching colours.
20. Manufacture, repair or maintenance of body fittings and accessories.
Training & Qualifications:
You should ideally be qualified to the following level:-
21. City & Guilds Level 3 – PSV or HGV
22. S/NVQ Level 3 Engineering – PSV or HGV
23. BTEC
