Ansible
HTML / CSS
NodeJS
Docker / Podman
Jenkins
Packer
Terraform

You MUST have experience with these technologies:
* Java and Spring (including Boot, MVC, Security, and Integration)
* Front-end frameworks (Angular preferred; React or Vue helpful)
* Development of contract-based services and APIs (REST, SOAP, GraphQL)
As a Full-Stack Software Engineer you'll work on:
* Adding customer-facing bespoke functionality on top of our base solution platform
* Adding new horizontal services to our platform (upcoming plans include NoSQL persistence, in-memory databases, and Machine Learning)
* Developing automated tests for verification of functionality
* Integration and extension of our RPA tool into our data platform
* Helping us launch and maintain our SaaS offerings
You will be most suited to these roles if you know:
* AWS or Azure (both ideally but the concepts translate)
* Designing and developing scalable service-based application stacks
* Modern enterprise security requirements and implications on platform architecture
* How modern operational platforms (Kubernetes, OCI containers, etc.) integrate with the development process
* Linux (especially CentOS/Alma/Rocky/RHEL and Ubuntu)
* RDBMS (particularly MySQL/MariaDB/Postgres) but also an interest in in-memory persistence and column-oriented/document databases
* Modern DevOps environments, particularly virtualization and containerisation (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, Open Stack, etc.)
* Configuration and release management (DevOps tools particular Jenkins, Nexus, Ansible, Packer, Terraform, Vagrant and equivalents)
* Source control systems (particularly Git and the Git Flow-style approaches)
* Debugging production issues in live environments
* Best practice development concepts: unit and integration testing, static analysis, and project lifecycle management
We need software engineers who:
* Are able to design and deliver complex applications from scratch, or are on their way there
* Enjoy working full-stack and happy owning vertical functional slices of applications
* Are happy working on a diverse set of projects and being involved right through the lifecycle of projects from bid to BAU
* Know how to get things done and deliver to clients (internal or external)
* Enjoy technology and keeps an open mind to solutions but is not always chasing the latest new thing unless it brings value
* Like a laidback day-to-day environment whilst still delivering to aggressive targets when it counts
* Want the flexibility to be able to work remotely or odd hours when not needed in the office
* Want ownership in what they create, technically, strategically and financially
* Are happy following a typical modern development practice but can alternately wear a purist and pragmatist hat as the situation dictates
The way we work:
While we were originally remote-friendly, since COVID we are now remote-first and do not currently offer a permanent physical space. Our team workswell in cyberspace (bringing back that term!) but due to our client work we're only looking for UK-based staff currently
You'll get to work with a close-knit team of amazing people who are passionate about technology. You'll learn lots, and you'll have a good laugh inthe process.
If you enjoy installing Linux distros, complaining about Azure API shortcomings, arguing about why colleagues should or should not buy an RTX 3090,can tolerate egg-based memes, enjoy watching or participating in eating challenges, and generally want to automate the heck out of everything then we'reprobably for you. So tell us about it!
Due to our work with government clients, candidates must be able to pass UK Security Clearance for the roles available at the current time.
To apply directly, please email your CV and a cover letter showing why we should work together to people@ib-boost.com
