Hire Cars Agent - (Planning and Coordination)

This is an exciting opportunity to oversee our hire car operations within the We Buy Any Car (WBAC) department at BCA Logistics. We are seeking a candidate with proven hire car experience to ensure the smooth running of our fleet and deliver exceptional service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Process hire car booking requests and manage a reservation system with third-party suppliers.
Handle driver enquiries regarding vehicle availability, servicing, maintenance, collection, and delivery.
Conduct regular checks on hire vehicles, including mileage and damage assessments, to avoid unnecessary costs.
Provide monthly reports on vehicle servicing, mileage, and on/off-hire details to the Fleet team and third-party suppliers.
Ensure all vehicles, including hire cars, are roadworthy and compliant with MOT, servicing, and maintenance requirements.
Maintain an up-to-date audit of all hire and fleet vehicles.
Maximise the use of hire vehicles by ensuring optimal deployment and addressing any underutilisation.
Coordinate responses to vehicle breakdowns and other collection/delivery issues.
Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers to resolve any driver-related concerns or complaints.
Take proactive steps to reduce travel expenses and optimise driver assignments based on individual skills and customer requirements.
Requirements:
Essential: Proven experience in hire car management or a similar role.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage third-party relationships and ensure compliance with key regulations, including Benefit-in-Kind (B.I.K).
Familiarity with managing vehicle audits and maintaining compliance with road safety standards.
