The post holder will support the work of the Policy & Strategy Team within the Nursing Directorate with a key role in delivering strategic Nursing and Midwifery priorities, focusing on:

The post holder will act as a regional champion for these programmes of work within the Policy & Strategy portfolio, collaborating with regional and national NHSE teams, systems, providers, and key stakeholders across the health and care system to provide clinical and professional leadership, support, and interventions.
This Professional Standards Senior Manager role is integral to the regional nursing and midwifery team at NHS England, working with the Deputy to the Regional Chief Nurse, Regional leadership team, statutory partners, and the local health economy.
The post holder will work as part of a dynamic team delivering an effective service supporting managers and staff across the Midlands Region/Nursing Directorate. They will define current processes, facilitate discussions, and advise colleagues on best practices for defining future processes, documenting those processes as they are agreed, and overseeing their delivery.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.
