About the Administrator job
We are looking for Admin Professionals or experienced School Clerk / Governance Professionals in the Surrey area to join our established and respected countrywide team. The Administrator role is home-based with flexibility. There is a requirement to attend schools for onsite meetings and occasional Head Office meetings. Our clerks are fully supported with regular briefings and exclusive training sessions.
Key Administrator Accountabilities
* Attend virtual or onsite meetings to support governing bodies, arrange meetings, create agendas, and prepare accurate minutes with action timescales.
* Provide procedural, regulatory, and governance advice to governing bodies during meetings and as needed.
* Work closely and cooperatively with volunteers, Chairs, and senior school management.
* Meet deadlines effectively.
* Research from various sources and provide accurate advice.
* Maintain confidentiality and integrity at all times.
About you
If you can demonstrate the following, we would love to hear from you:
* Strong customer service and communication skills, with high-level problem-solving abilities.
* Excellent organisational skills, ability to work independently, with good listening, oral, and literacy skills, and experience in agenda writing and minute-taking.
* Availability to attend meetings (online & in person) at times convenient for governing bodies, typically early evening, but sometimes during the day.
* Willingness to undertake ongoing professional development training.
* Computer literacy, especially MS Word and Outlook.
* Previous experience in a similar role within the education sector is desirable.
