2 x Assessing Social Workers, 37 hours per week (Exeter).\nRate is up to £38 per hour\n\nWe are seeking two Assessing Social Workers for our Kinship Assessment team in Exeter. In this role you will be responsible for the preparation of assessments for both Court and Fostering Panels, alongside supporting carers through the process of temporary approval offering regular supervision and support. Working to regulatory requirements, we strive to provide a high-quality service for children and their families with robust assessments that support permanent decisions for children.\n\nAdvocating for the children and young people of Devon, you will model social work practice that is of a high standard and in line with statutory obligations. You will champion restorative practice and encourage a collaborative culture, where opportunities for reflection and learning are supported.\n\nYour skills and experience will include:\n• A social work qualification and registration with Social Work England\n• Satisfactory completion of your Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE)\n• Experience working within social care, including working in a multi-agency and court environment, with knowledge of fostering regulations\n• Good written and verbal communication skills\n• Knowledge and understanding of the legislation, models, and theories relevant to children’s social work.\n• Good recording and planning skills\n• A valid UK driving licence and access to a car\n\nSocial Workers need to be available to cover their allocations and visit children as necessary to meet service needs. There may be occasions when home-working will be permitted which can be discussed at interview.\n\nRate of Pay: Up to £38
