An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Childcare and Education, Health and Social Care, Health Sciences, and Sports (CHHS) curriculum for an enthusiastic Programme Area Manager. You will primarily be responsible for the Health and Social Care team. Within this role you will drive forward the programme area, introduce innovative ways of working, be dynamic, and be able to motivate and inspire the team to have high expectations of their students and deliver outstanding results.
You will support the Director of CHHS in the strategic development and management of learning programmes and other curriculum developments such as full cost and adult provision. You need to be passionate about teaching and learning, have a strong track record of effective performance management and quality improvement and be able to plan the curriculum effectively to ensure challenging targets are achieved. You will possess excellent leadership and communication skills and be responsive yet calm in a challenging educational environment.
You must hold:
1. Level 2 in English and Maths (GCSE Grade C or above, GCSE Grade 4 or above, or equivalent)
2. Be educated to degree level (or equivalent)
3. Hold a full teaching qualification at level 5 or above
4. Have a background and experience of working in this sector
