Senior Clinical Fellow - Neonatal Transport London Neonatal Transfer Service Applications are invited for a Senior Clinical Fellow post in Neonatal Medicine starting March 2024. These posts are most suitable for experienced senior neonatal trainees or post-CCT paediatric trainees who want to hone their skills in independent clinical leadership before taking up a consultant post. The post is with the London Neonatal Transfer Service at the Royal London Hospital. Depending on individual training needs, rotation between the transfer service and the tertiary medico-surgical neonatal unit at Royal London Hospital can be arranged. The post offers a robust academic programme and numerous opportunities to participate in audits and quality improvement projects, fostering professional growth. Clinical Fellows are encouraged to engage in educational programmes, training/teaching and quality improvement/audit activity. The work schedule follows a full-shift pattern.
Eligibility for GMC registration with a licence to practice and prior experience at the middle-grade level is essential.
Main duties of the job
Two Senior Clinical Fellow positions are available at London Neonatal Transfer Service (NTS), London's regional neonatal transfer service. The post is offered for six months, which can be extended by mutual agreement. The post holder will gain high-quality neonatal training and assist in providing excellent neonatal care within a compliant middle-grade rota. You will receive varied high-quality training in neonatology, have been named educational and clinical supervisors, and have funding similar to that of doctors in a recognised training programme. These posts are suitable for senior doctors with tertiary neonatal experience who aspire to gain clinical and operational leadership and aspire to work soon as neonatal or paediatric consultants with neonatal interest.
