Business Development Director – Industrial and Commercial Services
Quest is looking for a visionary Business Development Director of Industrial and Commercial division who will provide strategic direction, drive operational excellence, and foster a culture of innovation and growth within our national tanker services business. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leadership within the tanker services, transportation or logistics sector, with a deep understanding of tanker operations and regulations.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute the company’s strategic plan in alignment with the overall corporate objectives, driving sustainable growth and profitability.
* Foster a culture of safety, quality, and compliance throughout the organization, promoting best practices and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
* Drive innovation and efficiency across all the Industrial and Commercial division, leveraging technology and industry best practices to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction.
* Build and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders including customers, suppliers, regulatory agencies, and industry associations.
* Identify, explore, and manage new business opportunities to enhance and expand the Industrial and Commercial Division.
* Actively pursue and secure profitable new business aligned with operational strengths to meet and exceed quarterly annual targets.
* Collaborate closely with the Directors and Senior Managers of the business to implement a growth strategy that meets business needs.
Qualifications:
* Proven track record of success in a senior leadership role within the transportation or logistics sector, with specific experience in tanker services preferred.
* Strong understanding of tanker operations, regulations, and industry trends, with the ability to drive operational excellence and ensure compliance.
* Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans, drive organizational change, and deliver results in a dynamic and competitive market environment.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams, build strong relationships, and influence stakeholders at all levels.
* Strategic thinker with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement, able to identify opportunities for growth and drive operational efficiency.
Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
Salary: £60k – £70k Base, Bonus, car/allowance, pension, healthcare benefit
