Your Role as a Science Teacher: Deliver high-quality science lessons to students in small groups or on a 1:1 basis, ensuring the curriculum is accessible and engaging. Adapt lesson plans to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or behavioural challenges. Provide individual support and guidance to help students develop their knowledge and understanding of science. Support the development of practical skills in science, fostering a hands-on and interactive approach to learning. Track and monitor student progress, identifying areas of improvement and implementing effective interventions. Build positive relationships with students, offering encouragement and support to help them stay engaged and motivated. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the effective delivery of science lessons across the school, contributing to the broader curriculum. Who We’re Looking For: ✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Science (or equivalent). ✅ Experience teaching science in a secondary setting (experience in an AP or SEN setting is a plus). ✅ A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to teaching students with a range of needs and abilities. ✅ Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents. ✅ A genuine passion for teaching science and a desire to make a difference in the lives of young people. ✅ An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
