Job Overview We have an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified or experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our friendly Adult Speech and Language Therapy Service in Leicester / Leicestershire. You will be well supported to work on the Stroke Rehabilitation Unit at Coalville Community Hospital alongside a Band 7 and Band 6 SLT as well as within the wider community team, offering you the opportunity to work with experienced SLTs to develop your skills. We will support you to develop competencies in dysphagia and communication disorders in a range of acquired conditions for example stroke and other neurological / long term conditions (eg Dementia, Parkinsons, MND) seeing patients in their own homes, remotely or in clinic (as appropriate to need). You will also have the opportunity to be involved in groups and delivering training. Our Speech and Language Therapy Service is city and county-wide having good links with our acute hospital colleagues and supported by a dedicated administration team to provide a high-quality service to the people of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. We have around 30 clinical staff from Bands 4 to 8a. Our priority is on patient centred, holistic care and we understand the importance of supporting staff to develop their skills and interests.
