Lead Finance Manager – Retail Role Description Location: Bourenmouth or Guildford/hybrid The purpose of the role is to drive and lead the Allianz Personal Retail Finance Business Partnering team. Leading the team to support trading and strategy decisions within Allianz UK Personal Retail in all aspects of Finance, including the management of day-to-day delivery of the Finance Business Partnering team outputs and deliverables. About You Oversee the delivery of finance initiatives impacting the AZP Retail business partnering team. Drive process and operational efficiency within the AZP Retail business partnering team. Coordinate the provision of finance management information, reporting and accounting at an AZP Retail level, ensuring accuracy, quality and clarify. Oversees the appraisal of strategic business opportunities and projects to ensure that all relevant financial considerations are considered with an appropriate recommendation. Leads the management and control of the expense budgeting. Develops and maintains strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the Retail business to influence business strategy and decision-making. Participates in the general running of Personal through membership of relevant leadership or steering committees, providing appropriate challenge. Plan, lead and deliver BAU change to departmental processes and outputs to ensure continuous improvement in the quality and value of departmental outputs. Essential Skills In-depth, up-to-date insurance accounting and regulatory reporting knowledge. Ability to apply management accounting and financial management techniques to drive financial benefit. Full understanding of underwriting, technical and operational disciplines including their application within the business. Qualified Accountant with significant experience at management level within the insurance industry. Ability to influence key senior stakeholders (to director/management board level). Experience in driving strategic initiatives, resolving conflicts and driving delivery.
