Premier Community is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and professional Assistant Management Accountant to help manage the overall business and financial operations.

We are looking for an experienced candidate with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in working in a Management Accounting role. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a high level of accuracy and someone who has excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
This role is essential in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the company, assisting in the preparation of management accounts, providing financial insights, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
The responsibilities of the Assistant Management Accountant will include:
1. Management of Sales ledger, including invoice processing, recording transactions, and credit control.
2. Identifying opportunities to continuously improve processes and to contribute to wider finance and Payroll projects
3. Reporting and monitoring of KPIs and non-financial information to support service delivery and contractual commitments.
4. Provide insight and analysis for Pricing structures
5. Complete Bank reconciliations in Xero.
6. Prepare and maintain short-term and long-term cash flow forecasts
7. Preparing budgets and forecast
8. Creating prepayment and accruals month end schedules and corresponding journals to be posted on Xero
9. Create and complete a balance sheet reconciliation pack
10. Producing P&L and Balance Sheet reporting ready for review
11. Identify and communicate basic performance trends and variances within the monthly P&L report, particularly against budgeted/forecast targets.
12. Analyse the monthly payroll/staffing costs, to post the monthly payroll journal and reconcile all staff related control accounts.
13. Communicating at all levels within the organisation, with the capability to present financial information to non-finance colleagues and teams.
This role is based at our head office in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. This position is a permanent full time position. Mon - Fri, 9AM - 5PM.
It is essential that the successful candidate has the following:
14. Minimum of 3 years’ experience of working in a Management Accounts role
15. Previous experience of working in a service sector, ideally Social Care, or NHS
16. Familiarity with Xero accounting software
17. Part Qualified with CIMA/ACCA and pursuing full qualification
