The Sizewell C Technical Directorate (TD) are looking for passionate Programme Engineering Managers to join us across our dynamic delivery programmes: Nuclear Island (NI) and Conventional Island/BOP (CI/BOP). Nuclear Island (NI): is the heart of a nuclear power plant, housing critical components like the reactor, steam generators, and containment structure. It is responsible for generating heat through nuclear fission and ensuring safety with robust systems and controls. The NI works alongside the Conventional Island, which converts steam into electricity, forming the core of the plant’s operations. Conventional Island (CI): refers to the part of a power plant that directly generates electricity, including systems like the boiler, turbine, generator, and condenser. Balance of Plant (BOP) encompasses the supporting infrastructure and systems that ensure the plant operates efficiently, such as electrical, cooling, fuel handling, and control systems, but are not directly involved in power generation. Qualifications & Skills: To thrive in this role, you’ll need a blend of leadership, technical expertise, and adaptability in complex environments: • A degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or a related technical field • Proven ability to build and lead diverse teams. • Expertise in design processes, EPR systems, and NEC/FIDIC contracts. • Experience in complex, high-safety regulatory environments. • Skilled in engineering systems, documentation, and nuclear specifications (e.g., BTR, BTS). • French language speaking would be advantageous.
