Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Systems Proving Engineer to join our Integration and Systems Validation team in the Air Defence domain.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and committed engineer to work with us on designing, developing, and testing cutting-edge defence systems.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing trials, working closely with the systems engineering team and design teams to ensure adequate trials data is acquired and investigate and resolve design issues.
They will also generate trials documentation, prepare and deliver internal and external Trials Readiness Reviews, conduct post-trials data analysis and reporting, and conduct and/or support trials including laboratory-based functional integration trials/system trials, ground-based trials, and environmental testing programmes.
Key Responsibilities
* Work with the systems engineering team and design teams to plan and execute trials.
* Liaise with the systems engineering team and design teams to ensure adequate trials data is acquired and investigate and resolve design issues.
* Generate trials documentation.
* Prepare and deliver internal and external Trials Readiness Reviews.
* Conduct post-trials data analysis and reporting.
* Conduct and/or support trials including:
* Laboratory based functional integration trials / system trials.
* Ground based trials.
* Environmental testing programmes including carrying out BIT test and collation of Trials conduct Reports.
In addition, the candidate will assist with lab management responsibilities, maintaining hardware and software configuration control, and maintaining and controlling calibrated items and deployed Test equipment.
Requirements and Qualifications
* Experience of working in the following environments: System Integration, Design Proving and Trials, System and subsystem Integration, BIT Test and Pass Out Test, System assessment and acceptance, Design Verification, Electronic design/test.
* Knowledge of MIL-STD-1553.
