Engineers are based in Cwmbran and Newport. Food Production Equipment includes multi-head weighers, flow wrapping machines, conveyor belts, metal detectors, refrigeration units, etc.
Job Description:
1. Diagnose and Repair Equipment: Utilize your mechanical and electrical engineering skills to diagnose and repair breakdowns of food production equipment promptly, reducing downtime and ensuring continuous production.
2. Regular Maintenance: Conduct scheduled maintenance and servicing of food production equipment to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance. This includes tasks such as calibration, lubrication, and electrical system checks.
3. Interdepartmental Communication: Collaborate with various departments to effectively communicate information regarding equipment breakdowns, repair schedules, and maintenance activities, ensuring a coordinated effort across the organization.
4. Record Keeping: Maintain detailed and accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, including service logs, repair reports, and inventory management.
5. Performance Improvement: Monitor the performance of food production equipment, identify areas for enhancement, and provide recommendations for upgrades or modifications to improve efficiency and productivity.
6. Safety and Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to safety and health regulations, company policies, and industry standards to create a secure work environment and maintain product quality.
Qualifications:
1. Technical degree or equivalent experience in engineering or a related field
2. Experience with food production equipment maintenance and repair
3. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose technical issues
4. Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with other departments
5. Knowledge of relevant safety and health regulations
Schedule:
1. Monday-Friday, 8 hour shifts.
2. Either 0600am-1400pm
3. 28 days holiday including bank holidays.
Pay is negotiable based on experience.
