Job Description
An Architectural Technician is required to assist our Operations, Commercial, and Property teams through a significant period of investment, improvement, and change. The successful Architectural Technician will primarily be working in the commercial sector, have a background in leisure and hospitality projects, and be proficient in AutoCAD. In this role, you will help coordinate projects and liaise with our technical service teams to ensure our CAD layouts are up to date following product installations and product moves. This will enable us to analyse the performance of our venues, identify hot/cold playing areas, track customer journeys, improve decision making processes, and optimise revenues. Furthermore, you will work with the design manager and investment teams to improve the layout of our venues, helping form refurbishment plans and new concepts.
Main Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
1. Produce detailed CAD drawings and full drawing packs for various projects including layout changes and refurbishments.
2. Collaborate with architects, designers, and project managers to ensure accurate and timely delivery of drawings.
3. Interpret design concepts and translate them into technical drawings.
4. Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards and regulations.
5. Assist in the development and maintenance of CAD standards and procedures.
6. Review and revise drawings based on feedback from the design team and clients.
7. Maintain organized project files and documentation.
8. Travel to project sites as needed to gather information and ensure accuracy of drawings.
9. Administrative duties as needed.
10. Special Project work.
11. Work at a fast pace to meet project deadlines and deliverables.
12. Report directly to the Design Manager/Head of Investment Strategy.
13. Work efficiently under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
Qualifications
1. Proven experience as a CAD Technician, preferably within the leisure and hospitality industry.
2. Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD).
3. Strong understanding of design principles and the ability to interpret design concepts.
4. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
5. Ability to produce comprehensive drawing packs.
6. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
7. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
8. Degree or certification in CAD technology, architecture, or a related field is preferred.
Preferred Skills:
1. Experience with 3D modelling and rendering software.
2. Knowledge of building codes and regulations.
3. Familiarity with project management software.
