The Financial Controller will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the financial accounting across the Group, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulations.
Main Areas of Responsibility
* Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards, including liaising with and overseeing internal and external audits.
* Responsible for Group financial reporting, including the consolidation of financial statements, year end and creation of regular management accounts.
* Support month-end process to ensure accurate and timely closure and assisting in monthly, quarterly & annual reports to identify results, trends & financial forecasts.
* Developing a robust internal control environment.
* Supporting and in some cases leading all sporting and regulatory reporting requirements including HMRC, EFL etc.
* Continuously develop and improve policies, procedures, systems and leveraging systems to optimise related processes and automation.
* Manage the Group procurement process in line with Group policy, including payments to suppliers and subsequent reconciliations.
* Management of the Group insurance policies and act as key point of contact with insurance brokers.
* Work collaboratively with the business to determine and develop appropriate operational KPIs to ensure business-wide engagement.
* Providing data and supporting analysis to show variations in performance, year on year movements, sensitivities to assumptions etc.
* Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
* Ensure all policies are adhered to.
General Responsibilities
* Be an ambassador of the Group, providing excellent customer service at all times whilst portraying a professional image.
* Perform other duties as required, which are considered relevant to the post and to the objectives of the Group as identified by the CFO.
* Treat all colleagues as customers ensuring respectful, positive outcomes across all communications.

About The Candidate
Qualifications
* Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant with relevant post qualified experience.

* Excellent technical skillset.
* Confident communicator both written and verbal with ability to influence across internal functions and external stakeholders.
* Develop and maintain strong senior stakeholder relationships.
Qualifications
* Proficiency with accounting systems, and Microsoft Office suite.
