Salary up to £60,000 DOE and up to £5,000 relocation allowance.
We are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our team at White Cross Vets, Handsworth, Sheffield.
About the Team
We currently have 3.5 Vets in practice, with a certificate holder in Small Animal Surgery and one in the process of an Oncology certificate. The site is supported by colleagues at the Doncaster White Cross Vets branch, which also include certificate holders in Internal Medicine and Dentistry. We are also looking for a Senior Veterinary Surgeon to join our team, so this role is perfect for those looking to progress, by taking the next step in their career!
The Vets across both sites work closely with each other to advise and support on cases. We are also very well supported by a team of 3 experienced RVN’s, a very experienced SVN and a fantastic VCA, moving into an SVN role later this year. Our front of house team is second to none and have a fantastic relationship with our clients and clinical teams! As a team, we ensure that we work to very high standards of care for pets and clients, with 15-minute routine consultations, 30 minutes for more complex cases. We are passionate about teaching and enjoy being a training practice for SVN placements.
Despite all the hard work and passion for pets, we do still find time for team building every month with our Wellbeing days. We enjoy everything from arts and crafts to turning the prep room into a cinema!
Don’t just take our word for it, here is what one of our team has to say:
“Working at White Cross Vets Sheffield is a great position; the caseload is varied and clients are friendly and committed. There is a very high percentage of insured pets resulting in an excellent standard of care for pets and good job satisfaction. The group chat we have between the Sheffield and Doncaster branch vets is really useful for bouncing ideas around for tricky cases, having certificate holders in multiple fields is really helpful! The tools and toys we have available are excellent, the HT vista scanner and the Imagyst are excellent resources to assist in the role. Most importantly the team are friendly, supportive and fun to work with! The Wellbeing afternoons are always fun and relaxed and give an opportunity in clinic for some downtime and team building!” Rebecca Verity - Clinical Director
