GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Under the general direction of the Lead Investigators (Co-PIs) or designee, the Director of Clinical Network Engagement will be responsible for the coordination, execution, and monitoring of day-to-day study negotiations. The Director will serve as Primary Liaison and work closely with the Hospital and Clinic Negotiators and other staff to provide direction of clinical network engagement activities.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Convene and provide overall direction to project team, which may consist of hospital and clinical negotiators, faculty, consultants and project assistants, for the effective and efficient administrative operation of hospital and clinical negotiations
* Provide functional supervision and sets standards for project staff performance and accountability, including the evaluation of employees, and oversight of off-site clinic-based study activities and deliverables
* Serve as Primary Liaison between the study PIs, faculty, staff and designated clinics and hospitals
* Oversee the implementation of a wide array of clinical network engagement activities including negotiating Memorandums of Understanding, development and implementation of study protocols, study specific standard operating procedures, IRB applications, project deliverables and quality assurance/quality control measures
* Coordinate information system interface with affiliate organizations
* Coordinate training programs at affiliate hospitals and clinics, and develop SOPs for adherence to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and all human subject protection practices
* Perform other duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* Master’s degree or equivalent in Health Care Administration, Public Health, a health policy related field, or equivalent experience
* 5 years of experience in developing, implementing and evaluating health programs, project management, and administrative and supervisory experience
* Prior experience in implementation and negotiations conducting research programs with large group physician practices, clinical systems and hospitals
* Familiarity of complex clinical settings/organizations and the implementation of complex clinical research projects
* Ability to travel to off-site locations
