Job Description
The Head of Marketing will be responsible for overseeing and executing the company’s communication strategy, enhancing its brand positioning, and ensuring consistent messaging across all channels. This strategic leadership role requires an experienced professional to manage internal and external communications, drive brand awareness, and protect and grow the company’s reputation in the competitive parking industry.
Key Responsibilities:
* Corporate Communications Strategy
Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies that align with the company's business objectives, supporting growth, stakeholder engagement, and reputation management.
* Brand Strategy & Positioning
Lead the creation and execution of a unified brand strategy to enhance the company’s presence in the market, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints, from online platforms to customer interactions at parking locations.
* Internal Communications
Oversee internal communication efforts to engage employees, foster a positive company culture, and ensure transparent communication across all levels of the organization.
* External Relations & Media Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, industry analysts, and external stakeholders. Lead public relations efforts, including press releases, media briefings, and crisis communications.
* Content Creation & Messaging
Guide the development of key messaging for all external and internal communications, including website content, social media, press materials, and presentations. Ensure the content aligns with the brand’s tone and strategic goals.
* Reputation Management & Crisis Management
Monitor the company’s reputation and handle communications during times of crisis or public scrutiny. Prepare and implement crisis communication plans to protect the company’s image and ensure swift resolution.
* Brand Protection
Work with legal teams to ensure protection of APCOA brand rights in the marketplace.
* Leadership & Team Development:
Lead and mentor the communications and brand strategy team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Set clear objectives, monitor performance, and support professional development.
* Brand Advocacy& Events Management:
Act as the company’s brand ambassador, both internally and externally, promoting the brand’s values and mission and taking responsibility for Event Management across European Trade Fairs.
Qualifications
* Experience
o Extensive experience in corporate communications, brand strategy, or public relations, preferably in a B2C environment.
o Proven track record of leading communication strategies that drive brand growth and elevate organizational reputation within a PE-backed organization.
o Strong expertise in brand development, messaging, and positioning across diverse platforms.
o Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership, employees, and external stakeholders.
o Proficiency in managing media relations, press releases, and crisis communication strategies.
o Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence decision-makers to align with communication goals.
o Experience of Event Management (preferably pan-European).

* Education
o Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., APR, PRSA, etc.) is a plus.
