SEN Teaching Assistant – Quidenham - Easter
A specialist school in Quidenham is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to support children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a structured and nurturing environment, helping them develop confidence, independence, and key life skills.
The school provides a supportive and inclusive learning environment, ensuring every student receives the tailored support they need to thrive. They are looking for a patient, proactive, and enthusiastic individual with experience working with ASD who can contribute positively to the learning and development of students.
Role Details:
* Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
* Location: Quidenham
* Start Date: Immediate
* Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
* Salary: £103- £110per day (dependent on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with ASD.
* Assist in delivering structured and personalised learning activities.
* Support students in developing social skills, communication, and emotional regulation.
* Help manage classroom behaviour using positive reinforcement strategies.
* Work collaboratively with teachers and SEN specialists to tailor learning approaches.
* Ensure a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment for all students.
What We Are Looking For:
* Experience working with children with ASD in a school or specialist setting.
* GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above) – essential.
* A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach to supporting students with additional needs.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to support student progress.
* A passion for inclusive education and helping children with SEN thrive.
