We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced social care manager to take lead and manage our supported living and adult short breaks (respite) services located in Melton Mowbray for individuals with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) and/or Autism. We are a care provider, regulated by the Care Quality Commission and responsible for the effective delivery of high-quality care personal care and support.
We are seeking someone who is caring, has a passion for working with people and can lead and manage a large diverse team. You will need to be a highly motivated and self-disciplined person, able to use your initiative.
As a Care Services Manager, your services will deliver high-quality personal care and support services for the Council; provide a safe environment for individuals and maintain service compliance with regulatory requirements.
About You
To apply for this post, you must have all the following knowledge/experience and be able to demonstrate this in your written application to be shortlisted:
Have current/recent experience in managing a regulated adult social care provision responsible for the delivery of personal care, preferably for adults with a learning disability and/or autism
Have knowledge of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014, and relevant other regulatory requirements applicable to care providers
Have experience of implementing good governance and performance monitoring systems in a regulated care setting
Have experience of managing, motivating and leading staff, setting clear priorities and objectives and negotiating and implementing effective outcomes
Ability to analyse information to reach sound decisions (demonstrating the use of risk management tools in analysis and decision making)
Have experience of conducting thorough impartial enquiries/investigations and compile comprehensive evidence-based reports. This includes implementing lessons learned through review processes
An enhanced DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
