Are you ready to take the lead in delivering a high-quality, customer-focused highways service? Stoke-on-Trent City Council is seeking a Highways Support Team Leader to play a key role in managing frontline services, overseeing highway inspections, handling public liability claims, and ensuring compliance with statutory obligations. In this dynamic role, you will lead a team responsible for responding to public enquiries, coordinating highway maintenance requests, and supporting the Councillor Casework system.
You will also drive service improvements, develop policies, and manage the Highway Claims Process, ensuring the council meets its legal responsibilities while delivering excellent service. We are looking for a strong leader with experience in highways operations, claims management, and customer service.
You should have technical expertise in highways, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage a team in a fast-paced environment.
A City & Guilds 603 – Highway Inspection and Monitoring Qualification with LANTRA is required.
