Accelerate your career while enriching the lives of aged care residents in our supportive Registered Nurse Graduate program with a specialist module in acute care.
Now hiring in St Ives, we are looking for passionate, newly graduated nurses looking to take their career to the next level.
This stream is open to newly graduated Registered Nurses (within 12 months of graduation). Places in our program are offered on a full-time basis, working 38 hours per week.
Note: If you are unable to commit to 38 hours a week, we may be able to consider a commitment of a minimum of 30 hours a week pending placement availability.
The program commences in February 2025 with availability in our metro Melbourne and Sydney homes and runs for 24 months, with a focus on both aged care and acute setting learning and experience.
The program is designed to consolidate your clinical skills and leadership capability in a structured, supportive and caring environment whilst providing you with mentorship and exposure to the many rewarding facets of a nursing career in aged care.
We have four, 3-month long placements over the first 12 months, covering the following areas of nursing:
* Assessment & care planning of the older person
* Complex health care needs
* Caring for residents living with dementia
* Leadership
In the second year, you will have the opportunity to expand on your clinical learnings through a 3-month secondment into an acute setting. This unique opportunity aims to round out your knowledge and capability and provide the diversity of experience that can elevate a nurse's career.

About you
To be eligible for the program you will have the following:
* Bachelor of Nursing, with an AHPRA registration
* High level interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
* Clinical knowledge and problem-solving abilities
* Solid understanding of the professional, ethical and legal requirements of the role
* Well-developed time management skills
* Able to commit to the 24-month duration of the Program
