We are seeking a committed SEN Class Teacher to join a Special School Primary setting in Chigwell. This temporary-to-permanent position is an ideal opportunity for an educator who is passionate about supporting students with special educational needs. The successful candidate will work closely with a skilled team to create a nurturing and structured learning environment tailored to each pupil’s unique needs.
As an SEN Class Teacher, you’ll play a vital role in developing inclusive lesson plans and working closely with support staff to ensure each child achieves their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and deliver individualised lesson plans that cater to pupils’ needs.
* Foster a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages learning.
* Collaborate with support staff to implement effective teaching strategies.
* Monitor and assess pupils’ progress, adapting methods as needed.
* Build strong communication channels with parents and carers to support pupils’ growth.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable.
* Experience in a Special School or primary SEN setting is preferred.
* Strong classroom management skills with a patient, nurturing approach.
* Excellent communication skills to foster positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
