This part-time (0.2 FTE) position is available immediately on a fixed-term basis for 1 year, in the Doctoral Clinical PGR Programmes Portfolio within the Department of Psychology and Faculty of Health and Life Sciences (HLS).
The Role
We are seeking to appoint a Clinical Practice Director for the Forensic Psychology Doctorate (Senior Lecturer) which is available immediately on a fixed-term basis for 1 year.
Main Duties of the Job
Main Purpose of the Job:
This post is crucial for maintaining the vitality of the DForenPsy training experience and for maintaining strong collaborative processes with our key partners within a national and international portfolio. The postholder will contribute significantly to the leadership and management of the DForenPsy with particular emphasis on practice elements. The postholder is accountable to external Professional, Statutory and Regulatory Bodies (PSRBs, including BPS, HCPC) for maintaining governance compliance and reports to the DForenPsy Programme Director. The postholder provides strategic leadership (with the DForenPsy Programme Director).
Job Responsibilities
The postholder will:
1. Manage and monitor all clinical practicum aspects of the DForenPsy training programme.
2. Ensure clinical placement provision to maintain external PSRB approvals (HCPC approval, BPS accreditation).
3. Strategically develop and maintain clinical placement capacity for the DForenPsy.
4. Line manage the Clinical Tutor Team to ensure clinical placement elements are in place and fit for purpose.
5. Act as PGR / DClinPGR portfolio of Programmes Responsible Person for University Fitness to Practice matters.
6. Provide clinical practice leadership to the DForenPsy programme and contribute to the Faculty's research/impact work as appropriate.

* Extensive experience of clinical practice and service settings.
Essential Qualifications:
* Good honours degree in psychology or a related discipline.
* Professional qualification in Forensic Psychology.
