Fortis are working with an engineering client in the Barton-On-Sea area to recruit a mechanical fitter with welding skills to join their team.
The client creates bespoke special purpose machinery. The machines vary in size depending on the requirements of their clients. This role is predominantly mechanical, although a mix of mechanical and electrical knowledge is beneficial. The ideal mechanical fitter will have some welding skills.
You will need to be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics to deliver the client's requirements. This is a workshop-based role, but there may be a limited amount of traveling to client sites. This is a manual position where you will be required to move components and be active around the workshop, so a degree of physical fitness is required.
The hours are 0800 - 1700 Monday - Thursday, with a 1300 finish on a Friday, totaling 39 hours. There is potential for overtime during the week and on Saturday mornings. The mechanical fitter position pays up to £15 per hour, depending on experience.
If you are a mechanical fitter looking for a new opportunity, please apply now to find out more.
