About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior School Administrator to join our Cambridge Faculty Office Administration Team, within the Faculty of Science and Engineering. This is a full time (37 hours), one-year fixed term post to cover maternity leave. You will be on campus three days a week, supporting our students and academic colleagues (although in peak times this may increase). The role supports the School of Psychology, Sports and Sensory Sciences, based on our Cambridge campus, but this role can also be based in our Chelmsford campus and would involve regular travel to Cambridge.
You will provide administrative support and advice to our Sensory Sciences students and staff. You will also provide face-to-face guidance, deal with telephone or virtual counter enquiries and use our computer-based information systems.
The successful candidate will be highly motivated, organised and have a commitment to enhance the high standards of customer service within the School and the Faculty. You must be able to prioritise and work independently to meet deadlines. Previous experience of servicing committee meetings is essential.
Educated to degree level or equivalent, you will be IT literate with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office. Experience of working in a student administration role within the Higher Education (HE) sector is desirable.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our staff and students and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Applicants should be aware that ARU will carry out online searches as part of the due diligence on shortlisted candidates.
We value diversity at ARU and welcome applications from all sections of the community.
Committed to being inclusive and open to discuss flexible working.
