The Role:
If you aspire to really make a difference and are passionate about delivering effective services, then working as a Traffic Signals Technician in our Traffic Signals team, part of Network Management and Construction within the Transport Division, could be the place for you.
This is an exciting time to be joining the team as we work to deliver major transport improvement schemes not just in Newcastle, but also working with partners in the other North East local authorities.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated Traffic Signals Technician. The role involves installation and maintenance of traffic signals across the Northeast of England, and assisting in the delivery of specific projects.
You will have a methodical and accurate approach to installation and fault diagnosis, with a proven ability to deliver services to program. You will be confident and competent in using IT systems to record and implement actions, be able to work unsupervised and manage your own workload.
You will be required to work unsocial hours on a rota basis as part of the out of hours standby cover provided by the section.
