Role - Senior Staff Specialist or Staff Specialist - Forensic Psychiatrist
Location - Queensland
Estimated total remuneration package - $357,998.00 - $447,015.50 (Depending on level/experience)
Global Medics is working with Queensland Health to find experienced Psychiatrists to work in their Forensic department.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
* Demonstrated ability to provide clinical leadership and services in Forensic Psychiatry.
* Demonstrated detailed knowledge or capacity to rapidly acquire detailed knowledge of Queensland Mental Health legislation and National and State policies, principles and plans relevant to the position.
* Demonstrated high level of written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Demonstrated skills in forensic psychiatry, research and service development.
* Demonstrated ability to educate medical and other staff in forensic psychiatry issues, including the supervision and training of registrars.
Eligibility:
* MBBS or equivalent qualification registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Authority (APHRA), Medical Board of Australia
* Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatry or equivalent postgraduate specialist qualification.
* Eligibility for registration as a Specialist in Psychiatry with the Medical Board of Australia and eligibility for accreditation as a RANZCP - approved supervisor.
* Enrolment in or completion of the Certificate of Advanced Training in Forensic Psychiatry (or equivalent) is preferred.
