Job summary The podiatry service in North East Essex provides clinic and home visits to patients who NHS podiatry needs.This role is part of the integrated podiatry service, which provides care for all ages and variety of pathologies, including nail surgery; wound care; biomechanics; foot protection service and MDT foot clinic for diabetic patients.The post holder will be required to participate in the full breath of the service.You should have experience post qualification which you can evidence related the above areas.The service has committed to supporting the workforce of the future and as such you will support the development of staff across a range of points in their career, from assistant staff working towards the RCoP qualifications, to Apprentice podiatrists (pre-reg) and post registration staff through preceptorship and into expert practice. Main duties of the job o Act as a specialist resource, carrying out assessments, and contributing to the development and delivery of integrated care plan.o Develop programmes of specialist podiatric activities, weighing options and delegating aspects of care as appropriateo Implement specialist aspects of the care plan, potentially acting as care coordinator and reviewing the plan on behalf of the integrated team.o Support patients with advice, information, persuasion and direction to community resources to encourage self-management and ongoing independence.o Provide support, training and advice to patients, parents and carers.
